"the one"
Sometimes I feel like I do everything. I am a mom (which all moms know what this entails), I work outside of the home 30+ hours a week at a job which I love, but at some moments just becomes a lot to take, and at the current moment, I am talking with the realtor trying to find exactly the right spot, and the township association to MAKE sure the right spot will work for our needs. And I am the one speaking with the insurance company regarding the stolen items AND the jewelery stores in which the items were purchased to get receipts (which is a feat in itself as MOST of the items in the stolen box were gifts). I am the one who cooks the dinner, I am the one who cleans up after dinner, I am the one who does the dishes, the laundry, takes care of K in the morning and gets her off to school. Usually I am the one who mows the grass and keeps the yard. I am the one who pays the bills and keeps the house clean. I KNOW my husband works VERY hard at this job and I appreciate all he does, but sometimes I just want a break from being "the one".

It all seems so real now
We have found our house plan and we are going to meet with the builder NEXT weekend (the 28th). It's a modular home which will be constructed half at the factory and half on our foundation. My parents went through this company for our house in Swanton (which I loved), and after much discussion and research, it just seems like the best option for us too! I spoke to the mortgage dept yesterday and went through everything that's important. We talked about what I need to do with regards to our credit score within the next year or so. We are actually in a much better place than I thought we were... I try to avoid debt and credit and all that jazz and now that I can't avoid it and HAD to look, it's surprisingly OK! They are looking up options for our new mortgage and how our current home will fall in this lovely market. We are looking at land this weekend! We have been talking about this for such a long time and all the sudden everything seems to be falling into place! If everything goes as planned, our current house should be on the market end of 1st quarter 2009, and we should be in our new place pretty close to this time next year... and Michaella will be starting kindergarten in the right place! Really exciting, kinda scary!
